This strange scrambling liana with large curved hooks grows next to the 3rd Tower at the far end of the Belalong Canopy Walkway entangled in the canopy of another strange plant a tree called Chaetocarpus castanocarpus. In the past the large hooks have led to confusion with two entirely unrelated species Artabotrys species and Uncaria gambir.
