This Koompasia malaccensis grows  next to the Left Hand Side (LHS) of the Belalong Canopy Walkway between the second and third towers.Photo by María Fernanda González Giraldo. 

This individual tree was fruiting in December 2016 and was covered in these winged beans. Each bean is about 6 cm long and is roughly the same length as the leaves.

This illustration shows the clear differences  in the leaves of  the two Koompasia species. In addition Koompasia excelsa is a much taller tree up to 80 m in height whilst Koompasia malaccensis  normally only grows to canopy level c. 40m in height.
