Note that the trunk and branches of this giant dipterocarp are covered in a dense mat of tiny dark green leaves belonging to a Ficus punctata liana which produces giant red fig fig fruit the size of a large orange. See the tiny red dot  in the top middle of this photo.

Here is a close up of the single orange/red  fig fruit produced by the dense mat of Ficus punctata leaves.

Ficus punctata fig lianas are dioecious which means that there are separate male and female plants  which produce respectively male and female figs. The female figs are pollinated by fig wasps which  which are produced inside the male figs.  With dioecious fig plants, male fig fruit only produce fig wasps and female fig fruit only produce seeds.
